Who Should I Pull?

Short Answer:

Pull the newest Valkyrie plus their signature weapon. AVOID Dorm Supply at all costs.

Long Answer:

Pull the newest valkyrie. HI3 content, especially abyss like Q-Manifold for under lv 80 and Superstring Dimension for lv 81+, are revolved around the newest valkyrie. No support? You can always build your team later, by pulling the necessary valkyries. If you’re here for serious account building tips, please take note of these 5 rules.

  1. 1. AVOID Dorm AND Starter Supply

Dorm supply in HI3 is equivalent to standard banner. Most of the valkyries there are even farmable through War Treasury shop. Pull dorm supply only if you have dorm supply cards. Even so, I recommend saving, then spending dorm supply cards only on spending events. More on that later.

The same rule of thumb applies to Starter Supply. Starter Supply contains many of older valkyries (not super old technically, but remember it’s best to only get the newest valkyries) and will disappear after 90 days, with its pity doesn’t carry anywhere after the banner disappears.

  2. 2. AVOID Non-Astral Ring Valkyries

Astral Ring system is 12 versions old. Although not technically really old, all non-Astral Ring valkyries can’t compete well with Astral Ring valkyries, except on very specific abyss weather tailored for non-Astral Ring system.

  3. 3. ALWAYS pull a Valkyrie with her weapon.

There is no such thing as a replacement weapon if you ask the experts. This is also partly why no one recommends people to backpull valkyrie: so that one can fully invest on the newest valkyrie + her weapon.

  4. 4. No support? Build your team later.

Even if you pull an Astral Ring valkyrie with no suitable support, you can always farm then slap Valkyrie Blastmetal in her team until you can get her proper support(s).

If you have Vita, while she is not a Grail (e.g. Elysia HLE) support, you can also slap her in a Grail team. But, again, DO NOT backpull Vita if you don’t have her yet.

  5. 5. Pull during Spending Events

Spending event allows people to maximize the value of crystals spent. Spending event involves shop using currencies that can only be obtained by spending crystals or supply (banner) cards.

Dorm supply cards spent during spending event also allows someone to obtain the currencies, although limited to 20 pulls only.
